T.W. Fitzhugh
T.W. Fitzhugh, author of The Spirits of '76, was inspired to become a writer and historian by his great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother, who disguised herself as a man in order to attend college and become a soldier in the American Revolution. When he is not reading or writing in his favorite armchair, Fitzhugh can be found getting his hands dirty in the garden behind his house, or at the local park where, in the fall, he likes to stand under a tall liquid amber tree with his daughter and compete with her to catch the most leaves before they hit the ground. Sometimes, he wins.
